Dee Why Beach is a pleasant and lesser known alternative to the more popular Sydney beaches. It is alive with coffee shops and restaurants. The recently refurbished beachfront area has been bedecked with stylish stainless steel street furniture. The small parade of cafes and restaurants cater for a good range of budgets and tastes and a good start to any day is breakfast at a terrace restaurant, overlooking the beach.

There is a heavenly walk along the beach past the lagoon, which you may have to wade across, along the golf course at up to the head at Longreef. From here you will be rewarded with views of the full extent of Dee Why Beach and further south to Manly. To the north there are views of Narrabeen and further up the coast. If you desire, the walk continues through Collaroy and eventually to Narrabeen.
